Fruit of understanding

Wisdom maketh its owner’s face to shine;

and Truth yields the fruit of understanding.

The wise man labors to fill his heart’s treasury,

for he wishes to speak and increase with riches thereby.

If the preacher’s heart is a faithful witness,

the labor of his tongue shall deliver souls.

Both the wise and the poor labor to obtain riches;

but a deceitful witness loseth his own soul.

Blasphemy calls evil good, and good evil.

Whoso speaketh such lies shall surely die.
