Who is the wise man?
Who is as the wise man? And who knoweth the interpretation of a thing?
A man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine,
and the boldness of his face shall be changed.
— Ecclesiastes 8:1
By the grace of God, the Spirit of truth came upon me.
I beheld a spark of truth—
judgment in its glory.
Paul said, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit.”
— Romans 8:16
In my hearth I was searching for truth and wisdom;
and by the grace of God, wisdom lifted me up
to see a glimpse of her fierce beauty, unclothed.
And I spoke thus: Abba.
Father, I have lied, and I have sinned.
Please forgive me;
and forgive my brothers and sisters,
for they know not what they do.
Please, Father, be merciful toward them.
I love them, just as you taught me to love.
I could not speak otherwise,
or I would have been a liar.
Under the weight of the Spirit’s light,
to make a lie is as blasphemy.
Let God be true, but every man a liar;
that Thou mightest be justified in Thy sayings,
and mightest overcome when Thou art judged.
— Romans 3:4–8
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar,
and His word is not in us.
— 1 John 1:10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar,
because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.
— 1 John 5:10
Remember:
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
— Romans 10:9–10
For us to confess, there must be a Spirit
that beareth witness with our spirit,
that our words are indeed true;
and For us to believe, and be justified in our sayings,
one must overcome in the day when
God judgeth the hearts of all man.
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life,
which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
— Revelation 2:7
